Job: Licensed Land Surveyor

Full Time/Hourly with overtime

Monday-Friday

Description:

We are seeking a PLS licensed in the State of New York to join our dynamic and growing team. The right candidate will be responsible for all phases of survey projects from the field to finish, this includes client contact and client relationships. We have solid procedures and systems in place to have projects run smoothly and efficiently and are expanding our technology footprint.

Most of our work is in the mountains of the Northern Catskills. Almost all our work is local, and we do very little travel, if family time is important to you, a career at Kaaterskill Associates could be for you. We are family oriented and want our team to have a solid work/life balance.

Our salary is negotiable and something that is unique to our profession is we pay hourly including overtime. Are you ready for a change?

Education:

Graduation from high school or GED. equivalent is required. Additional college coursework or apprenticeship is highly desirable. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of four years of land surveying experience post licensure, at least two must have been at a management level.

  • AutoCAD 2004/Civil 3D preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license with insurable record

  • Professional Surveying License in the State of New York

This position consists of:

  • Establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of projects.

  • Act as a representative for senior stakeholders at internal and external meetings.

  • Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects.

  • Responsible for survey calculations, analysis and final map checking, review of title data, record drawings research, and client relations.

  • Collaborate with project team members, including other licensed surveyors, engineers, and technical and survey staff.

  • Review and process the results of field surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features and structures.

  • Verify the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

  • Sign and seal survey documents.

  • Mentor less experienced employees, train them in proper company standards, and ensure more experienced employees are helping to mentor less-skilled workers in proper company standards.

  • Maintain firm standards for the preparation of surveys and mapping documents.

Kaaterskill Associates is seeking an experienced Licensed Structural Engineer to join our growing team. Our Structural team takes pride in supporting Architects across the Hudson Valley. Our firm specializes in energy efficient design including design Passive Homes, extensive rehabilitation projects, custom home design, and many other exciting projects. Applicants must be a licensed PE in the State of New York and a minimum of five years’ experience in structural design.

Engineering Technician/EIT

Job Description:

Kaaterskill Associates is seeking an experienced Licensed Civil Engineer to join our growing team. The right candidate will have experience in the design of water systems, sewer systems, on-site wastewater disposal, stormwater management, and all facets of land development projects. Salary commensurate with experience. A candidate needs to be licensed in the State of New York.

Our salary is negotiable and something that is unique to our profession is we pay hourly including overtime. Are you ready for a change?

This position consists of:

  • Managing projects from proposal through completion, including billing.

  • Designing sewer and water utilities, roads, stormwater practices and grading plans.

  • Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

  • Interacting daily with department staff and other Professional, Technical and Administrative Staff and collaborate on projects.

  • Coordinate and mentor project team as needed.

  • Troubleshoot and solve problems in the field during construction
